Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) 
​Luleå is a great place to see the northern lights as long as the sky is clear and you find a good place with few disturbing street lights. Check the municipality map over good locations to see the northern lights from and then check the forecast for northern lights here.

UNESCO world heritage "Gammelstad Church Town" - accessible by 10 min local bus from the dance venue.
Gammelstad Church Town is one of 16 church villages that remain in Sweden and is the biggest one. More information at visitlulea.se

Moose & reindeer Park
Cape Wild offers the chance to get really close to both moose and reindeer in their wild life park by the Luleå River.

Luleå ice roads - Enjoy a walk or car ride on the frozen river/sea! There is an ice road prepared around Luleå city peninsula only for pedestrian/ice skating/bicycling. There you can also borrow a Swedish "kick" to get around fast and enjoy the fresh outside air. You can access the ice road directly in front of the dance venue located in the northern harbor and then walk around the whole city center peninsula to the southern harbor or even take a detour to one of the closes islands, in total 10 km.
