May 13-14 2017 - (no Gotland-workshop in may 2018)

A two day Lindy Hop/Jazz workshop with Åsa & Daniel Heedman at the St. Hansskolan aula in the centre of Visby!

Levels

You should at least have attended a beginners course in Lindy Hop to be able to participate in this weekend workshop.
All levels will join in one group and you will get individual challenges no matter of your level.

The classes will focus on what we believe is the core of swing dancing; how to express yourself in new ways within your already existing Lindy Hop & Solo Jazz.

Registration

You don't have to sign up with a partner. We usually get a waiting-list for followers though so if you are a couple and want to get in together please send us an e-mail before you register so we can help you with how to do a partner-registration.

Accommodation

- An advice is to ask for admittance to the local Facebook group "Gotlands swingdansare" to advertise your accommodation interest there and hope that some local dancer has an extra bed for you. Please contact us if you are interested to do so.
- The other option is to rent something personally. Our advise is then to search for alternatives at either Booking.com, Gotland.net or Destination Gotland.

Food

There is a broad variety of restaurants and cafés in the area. 

Travel

If you travel from the mainland or from another country, please notice that you can either take a ferry from Stockholm with Destination Gotland or fly from Stockholm Arlanda (SAS, NextJet) or from Stockholm Bromma, Gothenburg and Malmö (all with Gotlandsflyg/Malmö Aviation).

Schedule

The schedule is the same for both days and we encourage participants to not skip any parts of the workshop to get a full understanding of our message.

12.00-13.30 Lunch
13.30-14.30 Solo Jazz for Lindy Hop
14.30-15.30 Lindy Hop
15.30-16.00 Own practice with assistance of present instructor
