No previous experience needed for this couple dance course! Lindy Hop is a couple dance with its origin in the 30’s and 40’s Harlem, New York. Swedish people are probably more familiar to its synonym: Jitterbug. It is often referred to as a fast dance with a lot of kicks and acrobatics, but it is foremost an improvised couple dance, danced to all kinds of tempos, including really slow. You can choose to either Lead or Follow during this course.

To be able to follow this course you should know 6-counts (both Triple Steps and Jig Walks), 8-counts and also Charleston and you have already danced Lindy Hop for a few years. We always recommend to take the Lindy Hop Basics course up to four semesters so your basics are solid. In this course we will experiment with your solid basics, challenge you with new rhythms and work on the whole range of tempos from really slow to pretty fast.
